July 14 – フランス革命記念日

もちろん7月14日は、フランス人にとってとても大事な日で、

街の規模に関わらず、お祝いモードになります！

パリでは、エッフェル塔で花火があげられ、お祭り騒ぎとなります☺

フランスの田舎町でも、花火があげられたりとどこにいても楽しめると思います♪

EDD hostel 周辺のお勧めの場所（ほとんどが夜なので、車がないといけません）

The Dinard’s firework is probably the most famous one in Bretagne. As well as being exceptionnal
fireworks, they are taking place in front of the sea, which makes it even more spectacular ! And of

course, it’s free ! 😛

How to get there from Edd ?

You have to go to Saint Malo first (How to get there here), which only takes 15mins by train ! Once
you are in Saint-Malo, there are two possibilities :

• If you have time, go to the Saint Malo’s port near Intra Muros and take the « Bus de Mer »
  (Sea bus) which will bring you to Dinard in only 10 minutes. It will be a good occasion the
  watch the coastline ! You can easily get your tickets directly on site. More informations here.
• Take the bus « Ligne 16 » from the Train Station. It lasts 30 minutes

The Saint-Malo’s firework : 11 PM at le Môle des Noires, nearby Intra Muros.

The Saint-Malo’s firework is also known as a very nice one ! And it’s only 15 minutes by train from the Hostel !

Events in Rennes : July 13

This parade is an occasion to see a lot of different militaries, vehicules and costumes and the biggest city in Bretagne. Pretty amazing to watch ! You will also see the famous orchestra of the Artillery !

The program :

11.30 AM, at Place de la Mairie : The traditionnal military parade

8 PM, at la Place de la Mairie : The traditionnal Hoedown

11 PM, at Stade de la Bellangerais : The firework

The Dol-de-Bretagne’s Firework and events

This year, Dol-de-Bretagne will commemorate the National Holyday on the 28th of july ! You will see
different traditional parades (musicians and others groups). Only 10 minutes walk from the Hostel ! 🙂

How to go back to the Hostel ?

Unfortunately you will not find any bus or train that brings you back to Dol-de-Bretagne after 9-10 PM.

That’s why we encourage you to plan it beforehand with other people from the Hostel. We always have some eddplorers that own a car, there is always a solution. You can use the carpooling service BlaBlaCar, which is very developped and convenient ! Hitchhiking is another option if you feel it (it’s very common in France).

NB : There is unfortunately no such event in Mont Saint Michel. Indeed it’s impossible to set up a firework because of the numerous old wooden houses.
